Sarah gets Star Wars treatment at the SSE Arena.

Dundalk woman Sarah McEneaney celebrated Halloween in style with a stunning Star Wars transformation after winning the SSE Comic Con makeover competition.

The mum-of-one travelled up to the SSE Arena in Belfast on Saturday for the £500 makeover, courtesy of Joanna Nixon, of Dead On Prosthetics.

Sarah, 38, is a lifelong Star Wars fan and chose to be transformed into Aayla Secura, her favourite character from the blockbuster franchise. Joanna, who has worked on Game of Thrones and Dracula Untold, got to work on Sarah in the SSE Rewards Lounge in the SSE Arena, painting her the bright blue colour of the Jedi Knight and designing her spectacular headpiece and brown leather costume.
Sarah was thrilled with the overall result.

"I grew up watching the Star Wars movies and absolutely loved them all," she said. "I was over the moon to win the SSE Comic Con makeover competition on Twitter and couldn't wait to see what Joanna was going to do with me.

"I thought about Princess Leia but she's a bit too safe. I wanted something more challenging and creative, so went for Aayla Secura instead.

"Joanna did a great job.I can't wait to get back to Dundalk to let everyone see my makeover."

Sarah was accompanied to the SSE Arena by her husband Colin and young son Hayden, also big Star Wars fans. And they too gave the makeover the thumbs up.

Hayden said: "Mum looks really cool."

Thousands of movie, TV and comic fans attended the two day Film and Comic Con event at the SSE Arena over the Halloween weekend, many dressed in costume.
